Five steps, from booking to review.
From the first phone call to the review date.

What happens at each step
The photo shows what a visit turns up in a typical office lobby.

What the photo shows
1
Escape plan displayed
2
Storage under stairs
3
Trailing extension lead
4
No door closer fitted
5
Alarm panel unobstructed
1
Book
You send the quote form or phone the office. We ask what the building is, how big it is and who uses it, then send a fixed fee. When you accept, we agree a date for the visit.
2
Site visit
An assessor walks every area people can reach, including cupboards, plant rooms and roof access. They photograph what they find and ask whoever is on site how the building is used day to day.
3
Written report
We send the report by email as a PDF. Each finding is marked on a photograph and written in plain sentences, in the order we walked.
4
Action plan
Every finding has a priority, an action and a person named to do it. If you disagree with a priority, phone us and we will go through the reasoning.
5
Review date
The report sets a date to look again. We write to you before it arrives and book the next visit if you want one.
What to have ready
None of it needs to be perfect, but each item saves time on the day.
Keys, codes or a person who can open every room, cupboard and plant room
Any earlier fire risk assessment, even an old one
Floor plans, if you have them
Servicing records for the alarm, emergency lights, extinguishers and door closers
A list of staff, residents or regular visitors who would need help to leave
The name of someone who knows how the building is really used
Turnaround
These are the times we work to.
We reply within one working day of receiving your form.
Within ten working days of you accepting the quote, or on a date that suits you.
Within five working days of the visit.
The report sets the date: 12 months for most premises and 6 months for care homes and hotels, or sooner if the layout or use changes.
Start with the form.
It asks for the basics, and the quote that comes back is a fixed fee.
